Innovative Education Ltd are looking for an enthusiastic, fun, engaging teacher to join the Classroom Kitchen Team for September 2024.
The Classroom Kitchen service delivers cooking and nutrition lessons in primary schools and other educational establishments. We’re looking for another fantastic teacher to join our service in the North West area to assist and lead sessions for the 2024/25 academic year.
We provide a variety of exciting workshops as part of our cooking and nutrition curriculum and support educators and schools in the delivery of brilliant cookery lessons (check out our service at www.classroom-kitchen.co.uk).
As part of the service, you’ll experience working with a variety of age groups, schools and settings. There is no need for prior experience delivering cookery sessions as training will be provided. An enthusiasm for food and nutrition would be desirable! Experience teaching and working with young people is essential.
This is a great opportunity for an early career teacher, teachers looking for more experience or experienced teachers looking for new experiences. Whatever stage of your teaching career, our service has lots to offer you in your continued professional development and full training will be provided. The role is a part-time temporary contract for 12 months. It is highly likely that this will be extended to a permanent contract. We are looking for an employee to work 20 hours across Wednesday-Friday. Based on bookings, we can confirm that it will be full days on Wednesdays and Thursdays with Friday full days working on a 2-week cycle. Planning is extremely minimal and paid should a bespoke workshop be requested. Working for Classroom Kitchen promises a great work/life balance.
A full driving licence and use of a car are essential. Our schools are based in and around the Bolton area (Wigan, Bury, Blackburn). Mileage is reimbursed.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver cooking and nutrition sessions in primary schools and other educational establishments.
- Plan and prepare for cookery workshops, following a set scheme of lessons.
- Manage workshop set up and pack away equipment as required.
- Maintain a high level of food and hygiene standards when delivering sessions and in any preparation before and after sessions take place.
- Speak and communicate with schools and customers.
- Establish and maintain great relationships with clients.
- Work and communicate with other members of the Classroom Kitchen team and those within Innovative Education Ltd.
- Network with other schools, businesses and organisations as directed to further the growth of Innovative Education Ltd.
